Mountain View is no longer the sleepy town it was a few decades ago. 

Theatreworks (Theater) I have been a subscriber of Theatreworks for years and have enjoyed so many of the plays and musicals. My favorite were “Being Earnest” and Hershey Felder’s Irving Berlin show.

The Pear Theatre (Theater)

Pocket Opera (Opera) Performing operas in English at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and the SF Legion of Honor. 

Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts (Performing Arts) This is home to Theatreworks but other performers can be enjoyed there, too. Don’t miss their shows in their smaller, yet still wonderful, theater.

Shoreline Amphitheatre (Music) This is a large venue with both open lawn seating and reserved seats closer to the stage. Your best bet is to purchase the season lawn ticket which gives you entry to most (if not all) shows for a bargain price.

Books Inc (Misc. Entertainment) This not only a great bookstore but offers regular author speaking events.

Repair Cafe (Misc) Free repairs to your “stuff” in an effort to keep it out of the landfill. Volunteer if you’re good at fixing things or just come with your “stuff” to get fixed.
