Guild Theater (Music and Comedy). This theater played top notch movies when I was young. It has had a fabulous remodel with the help of philanthropic investors and is the hottest new concert venue in the Bay Area. To save money, head to the box office to buy tickets. A great place to stand is on the second floor balcony. There are scant seats as this venue is mostly standing room only.

Stanford Park Hotel (Music) During the summer months the Stanford Park Hotel offers live music in its lovely outdoor patio. Enjoy the music and order some food from their Tavern Restaurant.

Draeger’s (Cooking Classes)

Kepler’s (Unique Shopping) Kepler’s was a bevy of revolutionary thought and dialog during the protests of the 60s. This bookstore now has a tamer vibe but still hosts a lot of interesting literary activities.
